Sunday August 28th French Thierry Van Den Bosch was not lined up on the starting grid of the World Championship Sicilian round as he was forced to sit out the Grand Prix of Sicily.

The experienced rider of the Italian PMR H2O Team, second in Triscina in 2010, was looking forward the fourth appointment of the season and was training hard to be one of the three protagonists of the racing weekend but an unexpected and banal crash faced on Sunday August 21st during a mountain bike training spoilt everything.

On Tuesday August 23rd, VDB underwent a surgery at the Bordeaux Hospital to fix his fractured vertebra and the result was positive, so now he is already home and is recovering really well. The rider, who is currently occupying the sixth position in the standings, will have to recover for the next two months but forecasts are good.

All the staff of Youthstream and DBO whishes the French rider a good recovery.
