Villena (Spain) 9 July 2015 - After a month break this week-end the FIM Supermoto World Championship restarts to celebrate the fifth Grand Prix of the season as well as the fifth Round of the European Supermoto Championship. It is the first year that Chicharra Karts hosts the Grand Prix of the Comunitat Valenciana.


Unfortunately the Championship leader X-MAX TM Mauno Hermunen injured himself in Estonia during a motocross training, breaking the first lumbar vertebra; he needs twelve weeks of recovery so he will not be able to be present here in Villena and finish the season.

So, TM Racing Factory Team Thomas Chareyre now is fully determined to do again his best performance like in Italy and add important points to reconfirm the SM World Title.

L30 Racing Honda Ivan Lazzarini is currently third in the S1GP world championship standings and he is fully motivated get another podium and fight for the overall victory.

Husqvarna Lukas Hoellbacher is travelling to Villena determined to give his best on Spanish soil, the Austrian is seventeen points away from Lazzarini.

Closing the top five 833 Husqvarna Pavel Kejmar who comes to Spain very optimistic about what he can achieve in this GP.

Sixth in the Championship is MTR KTM Devon Vermeulen determined to fight after his fantastic performance in Poland, Honda Gazza Asseri Kingelin and Honda Freccia Teo Monticelli have the same points, Honda Assomotor Christian Ravaglia will try to move up his ninth position and Honda L30 Max Verderosa completes the top ten.


After an impressive season TM DEGASOLINE Marc Reiner Schmidth this week-end could be crowned 2015 SuperMoto European Champion one round before the finish of the season.

40 points behind the German there is TM Toni Klem, who is followed by Italian riders: Honda Freccia Diego Monticelli, Honda Assomotor Fabrizio Bartolini, TM SDB Giovanni Bussei and the team mate Mattia Martella.
Seventh in the European Standings is the local rider Suzuki Team Grau Gimenez, Honda L30 Racing Yuri Guardalà will not be able to take part at the event due at collarbone injury occurred in Poland.

Currently ninth is the Swedish Husqvarna 833 Kevin Fagré and only one point away from him the Czech SHR Suzuki Petr Vorlicek who closed the top ten.
