The thrilling opening round of the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship and UEM SuperMoto European Championship took place last weekend at the spectacular Busca Kart Planet circuit and it definitely represented a promising start of the new campaign.
Workers and SuperMoto fans were amazed and pleased by the wonderful scenery surrounding them, which was in part provided by the majestic landscape of the Alps but mainly by the exciting races, the crowded paddock and the large and modern facility of the circuit.
Busca was happy to see the SuperMoto World series coming back to action on its challenging track after a two year absence, since last time the Superiders were in this location was 2008 for the GP of Alpi del Mare.
Cesare Speranza, President of the Busca Kart Planet, declared: “It’s great the SuperMoto World Championship returned to our circuit after a two year break and we’re very proud the first seasonal round took place in Busca. We’re also thinking about doing some modifications to the track in the future, always keeping it safe for riders. It’s important for us hosting a prestigious Championship like the SuperMoto World series, furthermore media and crowd showed great interest and participation”.
