Cremona (Italy), 8 October 2014– Everything is ready in San Martino del Lago Circuit to welcome in the best way the spectators who will come to see the 9th edition of the FIM Supermoto of Nations, the circuit built in 2012 with facilities, restaurant and terrace already hosted the Grand Prix of Italy this season with an outstanding success.
Twenty two teams coming from sixteen different countries will line up this week-end to beat Team Italy that currently holding the Zerbi’s Trophy.
The defending Champions who were victorious also in 2006, 2008 and 2013 will do their best to reconfirm his top position, this year Attilio Pignotti Italy Team Manager and former SMoN winner, will count on the talent of Ivan Lazzarini, on the experience of Christian Ravaglia and on the young Teo Monticelli who participates at this competition for the third time, after Alcaniz in 2011and last season in Pleven.
Bonnal Sébastien France Team manager, selected the Supermoto World Champion Thomas Chareyre, his brother Adrien and the France Champion Sylvain Bydard to repeat the best results as was in 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2011.
Team Czech Republic reconfirms his 2013 line-up: Tomas Travnicek, Pavel Kejmar and Milan Sitniansky.
Team Austria last season was not able to reach the podium so Bauer Rodolf, Manuel Hagleitner and Lukas Hollbacher will do his best to get it.
The two Times SM World Champion Bernd Hiemer leads the Team Germany 2014. After two years of road racing he won the German Championship S1 this year. Markus Class is actual two times German Champion in the S2 class. Marc-Reiner Schmidt will be fort he first time in the German team. He is currently leader in the Swiss Championship and this year in this track at Grand Prix of Italy he finished 5th overall.
Last year in Bulgaria Team Netherland was seventh and this season has been training hard, and the goal of Marcel Van Drunen, Devon Vermeulen and the young Jamie Sikkelerus is to finish among the top nations.
Team Finland is among one of the favorites squad with the strong Mauno Hermunen, the 2014 European Champion Asseri Kingelin and Toni Klem.
Team Great Britain has a bitter feeling of last year tenth position and with Matthew Winstanley, Lewis Cornish and Chris Hodgston will do his best to give his country the possibility to finish on the podium like in 2006, 2007 and 2011.
Estonia will also be present in Cremona with Madisson Eero and the Pals’ brothers.
Finished 16th last season Russia Team which partecipates for the third year at the event and will count on Alexander Latyshev, Alekey Orekhov and Maxim Averkin to improve their position.
Others Nations will be Croatia, Latvia, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden and USA that participated for the first time ever.
Among the 22 Teams taking part in this 9th edition of the FIM Supermoto of Nations, there are Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Great Britain and Germany which enters also with a Junior team.
