RIJEKA (Croatia) 7 July 2012 - And here we are again with the UEM European Supermoto Championship, this time held on the Croatian circuit of Grobnik. Known for having hosted some Moto GP races, this track is 1.376 meters long with two off road sections.
A well known circuit “Dolna Mitropolia” - about 200 km far from Sofia - is 1720 meters long, 516 of which are sky section.
The UEM S2 European Championship 2012, part of the Grand Prix of Croatia, has witnessed today the best lap time of Petr Vorlicek (Honda SHR) in the S2.
This first day of qualifications has started off well for the Czech rider, with his series of fast laps, but he had to face all the other riders who has gained good positions as well.
The British Mitchell-Thomas Malachi (Honda-SHR), the Austrian Lukas Hollbacher (Ktm) and the Dutchman Devon Vermeulen (Ktm Motoracing) were those who tried their best to reach his lap time but - in this order - they all arrived after the Championship leader Vorlicek, who tomorrow will have to watch out for them.
