Pleven (Bulgaria) June 23rd, 2012 - Pleven, one of the most technical circuit of the World Championship 2012, hosts for this weekend the Grand Prix of Bulgaria, third round of the Supermoto World Championship.
It's here that the competition for the Supermoto World Championship 2012 will take place tomorrow, a Championship that in the last two Italian races witnessed at least five riders fighting for the first positions, all of them trying their best to show their technical capabilities.
Thomas Chareyre (TM Factory Racing) was the leader in Ottobiano on 15th April, with one first position and two second positions, before the Italians Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda Racing) and Christian Ravaglia (Ktm Miglio). But the winner in Palermo on 27th May was the French world defending champion Adrien Chareyre (Aprilia Fast Wheels) with three second positions, before his brother Thomas Chareyre (TM Factory Racing) and Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda Racing). Bad luck for the Finnish Mauno Hermunen (TM SHR) who was disqualified in Ottobiano and fell in Palermo but who can claim notwithstanding this 4 victories over 8 races.
In the time trial of today, eve of the race with a temperature around 40°C, Mauno Hermunen (TM SHR) - just like in Palermo - does his best timing with 1’22.798.
All the best riders of the Championship did good timing today, but at last the Finnish Hermunen has beaten the timing of the French Champion Adrien Chareyre (Aprilia Fast Wheels), who had gained the fastest lap until then.
Determined and eager to make up the lost scores, the SHR rider will have to gain the Superpole reserved to the first four best laps.
After him came - in order - the French Thomas Chareyre (TM Factory Racing), his brother Adrien Chareyre (Aprilia Fast Wheels), then the best timing among the Italian riders was that of Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda Racing), at the moment second in the classifications, the British Matthew Winstanley (TM SHR), the Czech Pavel Kejmar (Ktm), the Bulgarian Angel Karanyotov (Honda), the Slovenian Uros Nastran (Suzuki), the Italian Teo Monticelli (Honda).
