Palermo (Italy) May 26, 2012 - At the old airport of Palermo - Boccadifalco the European Supermoto Championship takes place with its second seasonal round.
A typical Sicilian sunny and hot weather has welcomed this first day of races and has attracted many people, who for the first time can see these spectacular races in their own city.

The Czech Petr Vorlicek (Honda SHR) dominates the qualifications for the European class S2, as he did in the first test in Pavia.
Vorlicek was good from the beginning but its series of good rounds permitted him to gain the best timing only at the end when he came through - in order - the Italian Edgardo Borella (Yamaha Extreme Riders), the British Mitchell Thomas Malachi (Honda SHR), the Italian Lorenzo Lapini (Honda Lola Racing), the Finnish Sami Salstola (Honda SHR).
Good test for the Italian Diego Monticelli (Honda Freccia) as well, who closes the qualification day gaining the sixth place before the British Chris Hodgson (Ktm), the Italian Mattia Martella (Ktm Mtr), the Dutchman Devon Vermeulen (Ktm Motoracing) and the German Jan Deitenbach (Suzuki).
